Children's Voices Heard Through Art
The project promotes children’s rights through art. The right to education will be addressed through four works of art, including a theatre performance, a music production, an art exhibition and a dance performance. Since Yafa Cultural Center and Al Harah Theatre are partners in this project, they will be responsible for the production of the artworks with children while DCI will be responsible for integrating children’s rights’ element into the work through trainings on children’s rights, field visits with children and follow up meetings. Each art production will address an issue facing schoolchildren such as school violence, the inclusion of students with disabilities and the accessibility of schools.
The target groups are Palestinian boys and girls between the age of 14 and 16, their families and the community.
Defence for Children International Palestine DCIP is the only Palestinian children’s rights organisation that is solely dedicated to protecting the rights of Palestinian children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
DCIP monitors and documents domestic and conflict related violations, provides legal defence and implements evidence-based advocacy at the national and international levels.
