Call for applications: Poster contest as part of the 17th European Festival in Algeria
The 17th European Festival in Algeria, set to take place in several venues all over the country from 9-19 May 2016, is being organised by the Delegation of the European Union in Algeria (DEU) in cooperation with the cultural services of its member states. The gathering will offer a rich programme of conferences, dance, theatre, film and music. As part of the festival, the DEU is organising its first poster contest, open to everyone.
Candidates are invited to produce a poster (only one submission per candidate) complying with the following guidelines:
Format
- The preview format should be A4 – 300 dpi.
- The source format should be A3 – 300 dpi, as the source file will be needed to be able to create and print other versions.
Contents
- The poster must be on the theme “Colours of Europe: Cultural diversity, exchanges and intercultural dialogues, fusion and meetings (EU/Algeria)”
Elements to be included on the poster (NB: French wording must be kept as specified below)
- 17e Festival européen en Algérie
- Theme: Les couleurs de l'Europe
- Date: Du 9 au 19 mai 2016
- Venues: Alger, Annaba, Bejaia, Constantine, Oran, Tiaret, Tlemcen
- Logo: EU/Algerian flags
- The DEU/Facebook websites (QR codes)
- Email address for more information
- Between 5 and 10 partners’ logos
- Spaces for band names and headlines
The submission deadline is midnight on 9 February 2016
Participants must add some personal information to the submission: their name, age, address, email address and telephone number.
The poster should be sent by email to delegation-algeria@eeas.europa.eu or by post to Domain Benouadah, Rue du 11 Décembre 1960 - El Biar, Algier (postmark will be taken as proof of date and time posted), with a USB key or CD enclosed.
The selection jury, comprising members of the DEU, the EU member states represented in Algeria and a communication consultant, will award the winner with a prize in Algerian dinars, worth €1,500.
