The three laureates will each receive $10,000 and the opportunity to stay in Brussels’ “Inhabitation”, the artistic residence at the Villa Empain, which also boasts a studio. The Foundation covers all travel and accommodation expenses.

  • A scanned copy of your ID card;
  • A CV (two pages maximum);
  • For painting and sculpture candidates (under the age of 40), a portfolio of 30 pictures maximum in .jpg format, with dimensions ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 pixels in length. The file name for the pictures must be in the format: Fullname_Title_Year;
  • For choreography and dancing candidates (no age limit), a maximum of three shows or excerpts from shows, uploaded via Vimeo, provided with a password.

The Boghossian Foundation Prize is awarded by a jury composed of leading figures from the artistic world, chaired by Albert Boghossian.

In Belgium, the Boghossian Foundation acquired the famous Villa Empain in 2006, in order to establish its head office and a centre for art and dialogue between the cultures of the East and the West. A variety of cultural and artistic activities are offered: exhibitions, concerts, conferences, international meetings and so on. The Boghossian Foundation can also host students, artists and scholars-in-residence at the Villa Empain. Since 2012, the Boghossian Foundation Prize has reflected the desire to promote and strengthen ties between the East and the West through art.
